Method & Approach

This approach has been developed after ten years of teaching our children at home while learning about many other educational approaches. Charlotte Mason methods, unit studies, quality literature, discipleship, the Moore Formula, Robinson Curriculum, Natural Learning, Delight-Directed and Identity-Directed approaches have much truth in them. Nevertheless, no one method or approach fitted perfectly with our family…and I strongly suspect that you, the reader, will feel similar about this site too. That’s good. I don’t want or expect anyone to follow us but I do want you to seek God…I do want you to dig into the Scriptures with your children!

Using this approach, you and your children will develop a Bible Notebook, Vocabulary Notebook and a Journal Notebook. You will learn about hymns and choruses, read some great literature and inspiring biographies, you will view some works of art, learn how to lead your children into prayer, memorising Scripture and poetry, practice recitation and even more as you learn to share the Bible with your children.
